Membership Saving Account
- Minimum $5 balance required
- No monthly fees
- Dividends paid quarterly (minimum $100 balance to qualify for dividend)
- Three withdrawals and/or transfer free each month. Additional withdrawals and/or transfers are $5 each
Steps to Open a Membership Saving Account
Step 1:
Opening a membership share (saving) account is quite simple with a minimum of $5 deposit in your saving account and a few quick questions to qualify. If you answer yes to any of the following questions, then you may join our credit union.
- Do you live, work, worship, or attend school in Guilford County, N.C.?
- Are you an employee of the Salmon Company or United States Post Service located in N.C.?
- Are you an immediate family member of an employee that retired from the United States Postal Service in NC or the Salmon Company?
To apply for membership, visit one of our branch locations and bring the following:
- A Valid Driver's License, Passport, Military or State ID
- U.S. Social Security Number
- U.S. Citizenship or Resident Alien Status
Federal Law Requirements
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial. We will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that allows us to identify you, which may include your driver's license or other identifying documents.
Club Accounts
Vacation Club
Our Vacation Club account allows you to save for the taxes, get-a-ways through direct deposit, monthly automatic transfers, or by making deposits on your own throughout the year.
- No minimum balance
- No monthly fees
- Dividends are paid at the end of each quarter
- Funds are available for withdrawal and/or transfer from April 1 through June 30th
- If you choose to withdraw and/or transfer the funds prior to April 1 or after June 30st , there will be a $10 early withdrawal and/or transfer fee per transaction.
- Funds Disburse April 1st
Christmas Club
Our Christmas Club account allows you to save for the holidays through direct deposit, monthly automatic transfers, or by making deposits on your own throughout the year.
- No minimum balance
- No monthly fees
- Dividends are paid at the end of each quarter
- Funds are available for withdrawal and/or transfer from October 1 through December 31
- If you choose to withdraw and/or transfer the funds prior to October 1 or after December 31st, there will be a $10 early withdrawal and/or transfer fee per transaction.

How do I open a checking account?
- To open a checking account, you must first have a Membership Savings Account. Contact us on how to join.
- You may apply for your checking account at one of our branches. We will be there to assist you every step of the way. You will get an immediate response if your checking account has been approved.
- Next, your checking account will be ready for use right away.
